Sapheiros Ring

£298.00

Sapphire...from the Greek word “Sapheiros” meaning blue.  And while most of us think of blue when we think of Sapphires, they actually come in a wide range of colours.

Regarded as significant and mystical, Sapphires have been important to rulers for thousands of years.  The ancient rulers of Persia believed the sky was blue as it reflected the blue of sapphires, the Greeks wore sapphires for wisdom when they sought the answers from the Oracle at Delphi and Buddhists believed it could help them achieve spiritual enlightenment.

Sapphires also symbolise love, fidelity and commitment and so can be found in many engagement rings (think the Duchess of Cambridge’s engagement ring, formerly belonging to Princess Diana).  These would make a beautiful alternative engagement ring!

Each of these rings is completely unique, each sapphire being freeform, with faceting that catches the light so beautifully.  Created by hand in sterling silver, I’ve made sure that these gemstones take centre stage, surrounded by tiny granulation. If you would prefer gold (white, yellow or rose), please get in touch for a quote

Each ring will be hallmarked by Birmingham Assay Office and placed in a Scarlett Willow Designs gift box
