Morvoren Dagrow Necklace

The Morvoren Dagrow Collection, featuring sea glass, gets it's name from the Cornish language, meaning Mermaids Tears.

There is a legend that surrounds sea glass....mermaids had the power to change the course of nature but were forbidden to do so by the God of the sea, Neptune.  One stormy night, a ship struggled to find safety in an island cove.  A mermaid knew the ship well, having watched it's crossings many times, and she had fallen in love with the Captain.  To save his life, the mermaid calmed the seas and tamed the winds.  Neptune angrily banished the mermaid to the ocean depths, forbidding her to ever surface or swim with the ships again.  TO this day, her crystalline tears wash up on the beach in the form of seaglass...an eternal reminder of eternal love.

All the seaglass used in this collection has been collected by myself, handpicked from a particular beach in beautiful in Cornwall (I'm not telling you which one!)

Each torque necklace is shaped to fit comfortably and is finished with a Sterling Silver pebble.

As always, each necklace has been hallmarked by Birmingham Assay Office and measures 18 inches long.  Please note that each necklace is unique and the size, shape and colour of the sea glass will vary.  As each piece is made to order, if you have a particular colour of sea glass in mind, then please let me know at the time of ordering.  Delivery time will be approximately 7-10 days, if you need the piece quicker then please contact me first.  If you are ordering other items from the collection, I will try to match the sea glass as closely as possible.
